I live only two blocks from this spot but never paid it much mind. It just seemed like one of the thousands of Indian restaurants that time had passed by and when I did go in, was met by a shabby buffet table out of business and heavy, almost gothic colors. This felt like one of those places Gordon Ramsay should save ... Till I had the food. I was wrong! Happily wrong. The food here is good and the portions are huge and affordable. I had a chicken tikka dinner platter for only $16 that could have easily fed two. Huge chucks of meat, perfectly spiced, over a bed of onions and peppers. Rounded out with a samosa appetizer and I was set.

If you didn't know it was there, you'd probably drive right by. It's not lit up and heavy curtains over the windows make it dark in a small strip plaza style area. But, she's been there for decades so assume many locals know it. The indoor decor looks like the original style from maybe the 80s? We were the only eat in diners. They average 150 take out orders a day, but only 3 or 4 tables eat in. Ever since covid, they stopped their buffet due to the takeout preference. We ordered: Paneer Pakora (fried cheese) and Aloo Tiki (friend mashed potatoes) for apps. The India Star special is a nice sampler sizzler. We got chicken vindaloo, saag paneer, and butter chicken with garlic naan. The butter chicken was the favorite dish....despite my youngest being initially deterred by the bright blood red sauce. For dessert we ordered both items from the menu....a rice pudding and fried balls in a sugary syrup. The hostess/waitress/owner was friendly and we enjoyed the Indian music playing.

I've only ever gotten takeout here but I love it. The food is fantastic, the people are so friendly and nice, and it's also usually pretty quick. Definitely a great takeout option.

I ordered from here with Uber Eats. The food was very flavorful, some of the best chicken curry I have had, tender chunks of white meat chicken in a creamy curry sauce. I asked for it "hot" and spicy. It was perfect. I also ordered Garlic Naan, Papadam, the India Star Special (it included the yummy chicken curry referenced above and some other delectible selections like chicken vindaloo and it comes with two warm pieces of plain Naan). I also ordered a side of Basmati rice which was moist and aromatic. There was so much food I have another two meals!! With tip the bill was $52.00.

Very satisfied with our order from this place! We ordered Chicken tikka masala, Chicken tandoori and garlic naan. The food was all very good and very securely wrapped for delivery. The flavors were good and the spice level was spot on. Definitely will order from this place again!

I was going to use restaurant.com certificate but it's been so long I didn't understand how it worked so I paid out of pocket. I started with lentil soup and gobi pakora (fried cauliflower). My main dish was shrimp madras curry Shrimp cooked with fresh tomatoes, onions, and fiery hot sauce ordered it hot and it didn't disappoint. It was sneak up on you spicy. Service was fine I was the only one dining. Dessert was also delicious Chai tea and rasmalai house made delicate, sweet cheese patties served in sweet creamy milk sauce and garnished with crushed pistachios. The food all came out timely and hot. It was a very good meal. I enjoyed it and plan to return after the season ends. I did notice that they did a large amount of take out always a good sign. The buffet was discontinued until the pandemic is over, hopefully soon.

We did the "Buffalo eats in" Yelp event by ordering delivery through DoorDash from here. We ordered the butter chicken and an eggplant dish. Side of mango lassi. This was very good food. Came with a huge plate of rice, more than enough. I'd happily eat here again. I did find the naan on the expensive side. Also, we ordered for 5:30 delivery - it arrived at 5. It was warm and well packed, but early.

Came here on a Tuesday evening for the buffet and definitely enjoyed it. Service was friendly and I was greeted warmly and with a sense of humor upon arrival. Buffet prices are reasonable at around $12.99 per person and the buffet has all that you would expect: butter chicken, tandoori chicken, beef curry, chana masala, matar paneer and more. The buffet comes with either a standard or garlic naan and the naans here are definitely some of the best out of any of the Indian restaurants. Watch out for the spicy sauce. It is hot. Over indulging on the buffet and hot sauce, while it may be delicious in the moment, will lead to pain later...trust me on this. Definitely a solid choice for Indian!
